My Most Memorable Trip – Essay
Although I had long been bitten by wanderlust years ago, my itchy feet took me to one of India’s most sought-after tourist destinations – Ranikhet. My most memorable trip of my life was Ranikhet. Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, Ranikhet is a stunningly beautiful hill station in the state of Uttarakhand.
Despite my weakness to give a touch of discovery to almost every destination in the country, I had no idea how I missed the “Queen’s Meadow”, as Ranikhet is fondly known. It was a 3-day trip to such an amazing hill station.
So it was the year 2009 when I hopped on my favourite motorcycle with my best buddy. It took me a couple of hours to make it to the destination though I had to take few halts in between to regain my energy. You know riding a bike to several kilometres was not a piece of cake.
Why I chose Ranikhet to be my one and only destination?
There are several reasons supporting the fact why Ranikhet has long been catching the attention of holidaymakers from all over. In fact, it has been witnessing a major chunk of backpackers who are looking to take a plunge into the pool filled with the beauty of nature.
Here is a list of some reasons making Ranikhet one of the top-notch tourist destinations:
Ancient Shrines
Beautiful Hilly Terrains
Striking Himalayan Regions
Lush Greenery
I had the best time of my life admiring the natural beauty the lord has showered on me. Every morning I used to visit some of the best places on my bike with my best friend whom I had known for years. I could not get to know when time passed by as I used to spend my time admiring all that nature had in its store for backpackers like me.
Ranikhet is a tourist destination like no other. It has a plethora of things you can see and do that will make your holiday worth your memories. It is a perfect destination to enjoy with your loved ones.

All days are not special. But few days stand in our memories and make us feel nostalgic. One such day is my successful project in history. I collected 100 coins of 10 different countries and kept it as an exhibit in my school. There was no end for the appreciation I got from all teachers. My friends were so astonished at my collections. I shared a lot of information and it gained a good name of me in my school. That day was the most proud filled and memorable day in my life.
The happiest day of my life our tour to Ooty. We went for a trip to the beautiful hill station last month. It was a nice family trip where we enjoyed a lot. The trip started on a breezy Sunday morning. We hired a van from our home and my uncle’s family accompanied us.
We boarded a lodge at 10 ‘o clock in the morning and the weather so cold that we were freezing like a statue. After getting ready with all our jackets over us we went to the Thunder world which was a very different theme zone I have ever seen. The botanical garden and rose garden were so amazing. It was a great scene to see so many flowers all together. They all looked as if they were smiling at us.
The next day we visited Pykara and the boating experience there, was indeed not equivalent to words. The same afternoon we went to Mudhumalai forests and saw wildlife face to face. The trip was so wonderful that it cannot be explained simply in words. The trip to Ooty was definitely one of the most memorable ones in my life.
