Bhagat Singh played a great role in the Indian freedom struggle. The most important thing which is required in the struggle for freedom is the united people. Bhagat Singh played a great role in uniting people. He got himself hanged a to show the people of his nation that if he could sacrifice his life for his country, then they should also do the same and join the freedom struggle. And really his sacrifice didn't go in vain, the whole country got united and started protesting against the Britishers in the way in which they could. Some people stopped paying the land tax, others started participating in the various freedom. He wanted the freedom of his nation from the British rule and for this he was ready to take a different test, and he took that test by sacrificing his own life. He believed that the goals were not achieved easily, one had to work for them carelessly. And so he along with his other fellow beings threw a bomb in a very unskilled way and got themselves arrested.This was the most important way in which he contributed in the struggle for the freedom.
In his life time also , he contributed a lot in the struggle for the freedom. He formed 'Naujawan Bharat Sabha' in March, 1926, with the main objective to maintain solidarity with all kinds of social, economic and industrial organisations, free from communalism. He was a supporter of humanity. In his eyes, the life of man was the most sacred thing, as he stated in before he court in jail in Delhi. So, he didnot favour useless bloodshed. But he had to take recourse to violence for the freedom of India.
