It means lesser the boiling point of a liquid more is the proportion of it is distilling over . The above problem can be avoided by using a fractionating column it gives the effect of repeated distillation by offering resistance to the passage of vapour . the process of Separation of two miscible liquids by the process of distillation making use of the difference in boiling points is called fractional distillation .
