river indus is the river flowing in the north western pat of the indian sub continent extending from the himalyas to the pakistan and draining its water mainly through rann of kutch and making large salt water lakes. on the valley of this river the famous indus valley civilisation flourished it has a huge life suppourted on it.

another name of indus river is sindhu river.it is one of the longest rivers of asia.its length is about 3200 kilometres.it contains the bukkur island.it flows through pakistan , india and china.sources of indus river are Sênggê Zangbo, Tibetan Plateau and  Gar River.the mouths of the indus river are  Arabian Sea and Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary.lansdowne bridge is located over the indus river.it was built in 1888 by british raj.this is the major attraction of this river.
