  • In India, there are two groups of island that is Lakshadweep group and Andaman and Nicobar Group.

  • The lakshadweep island lies near to Malabar Coast in Kerala.

  • They consist small coral island. They were also known as Amindive, Minicoy and Laccadive.

  • In 1973, The island renames as Lakshadweep.

  • The Andaman and Nicobar island is locked in Bay of Bengal.

  • Lakshdweep is smaller than Andaman and Nicobar island.

  • The island is rich in Flora and Fauna.

  • The Island is near to the equator that is why it also experience equatorial climate.

  • The island have thick forest.

  • Andaman and Nicobar has India's only active volcano found on Barren Island.
