The United Nations is the body which was organised after World War 2 in order to restore peace and security among nations .

↪ The main organs ( bodies / divisions ) of the U.N are as follows :

The General Assembly , the Security Council , The Trusteeship Council . The International Court of Justice Economic and Social Council and the Secretariat .

➡ The General Assembly is the legislative body of the UN . It is a law making body and performs the main task of maintains harmony and peace . It prepares the UN Budget . All members of UN are members of General Assembly .

➡ The Security Council is the executive body of the UN . It takes action against any aggressor . It also looks after security . It has 5 permanent members .

➡ The International Court of Justice is the judicial body of the UN . It solves cases submitted by member states . It is composed of 15 Judges .
