↪ The United Nations is the body which helps in maintaining world peace and security .
↪ The main organs of the U.N are as follows :
The General Assembly , the Security Council , The Trusteeship Council . The International Court of Justice Economic and Social Council and the Secretariat .
➡ The General Assembly is the legislative body of the UN .
➡ The Security Council is the executive body of the UN .
➡ The International Court of Justice is the judicial body of the UN .
↪ The U.N was setup in 1945 following the devastating effects of the Second World War .
↪ At least it is better than the League of Nations .
