Renewable resources are resources that are replenished by the environment over relatively short periods of time. This type of resource is much more desirable to use because often a resource renews so fast that it will have regenerated by the time you've used it up.
In contrast to renewable resources, non-renewable resources are resources that are not easily replenished by the environment. Let's think about this in terms of that ice cube maker again. Imagine that this time you don't have an automatic ice maker at home, you have to wait for someone to bring it to you, and they only do this once a month. The Advantages of Renewable Energy Make your own Water Wheel Make your own Wind Winch One major advantage with the use of renewable energy is that as it is renewable it is therefore sustainable and so will never run out. Renewable energy facilities generally require less maintenance than traditional generators. Their fuel being derived from natural and available resources reduces the costs of operation. Even more importantly, renewable energy produces little or no waste products such as carbon dioxide or other chemical pollutants, so has minimal impact on the environment. Renewable energy projects can also bring economic benefits to many regional areas, as most projects are located away from large urban centres and suburbs of the capital cities. These economic benefits may be from the increased use of local services as well as tourism.

renewable resources are the resources which exist for a long period of time and can be formed very easily . in other words renewable resources are the resources which can be renewed easily
eg: air,water
these are very useful in our daily life air for breathing, water for drinking.
non renewable resources are the resources which exist for a short period of time and take down million years to transform . otherwise these are the resources which cannot be renewed easily
eg: petroleum.
these are also very useful to us and play a vital role in man's life petroleum is required to run vehicles etc
hope it helps...
