2.5d lens is the kind of lens for him/ p=1/0.4m(f=40cm)=2.5D the person thus uses a convex lens......suffering from hypermetropia(a person can see the far away objects clearly but cannot see the near objects clearly.)

HemantNetha: I want the process

Data:-u=-40cm
v=infinity
By lens formula
1/f=1/v-1/u
1/f=(1/infinity)-1/(-40)
1/f=0+1/40
f=40cm
=0.4m
By using power formula i.e.,
P=1/f
P=1/0.4
P=10/4
P=2.5D
Therefore,the power of the lens is 2.5D.
The person uses convex lens and is suffering from hypermetropia.

HemantNetha: sir take f=40
HemantNetha: not i
RakshithaLokesh: Yaa f is 40cm by converting it to m it becomes 0.4m
RakshithaLokesh: The unit of power is dioptre if and only if the focal length is in metres
saatvik2004: correct
HemantNetha: not change the f
RakshithaLokesh: If u found this helpful pls mark it as brainliest. Thank u
HemantNetha: okkkk
