The 15 th August is our independence day.On 15 th August 1947India become free .This day is a public holiday.In Delhi ,this day is celebrated in different ways .Lakhs of people gather in the grounds in front of the RedFort .

The Prime minister arrives there 7:16 a.m..First of all he inspects a guard of honour.Boy scouts and girl-guides form a great rally .They sing the national song .Then,the P.M makes a speech.This is followed by the National Anthem..

At night the public building are brightly lit.People enjoy the sight.
