Lukas' body convulsed as he swerved

I pictured him back at the centre, pressing his hands together as he watched us through the hidden cameras, praying to any force above us that we at least come out alive.

The car suddenly coughed back as we turned a tight corner; Lukas almost struck his head onto the steering wheel. My chest rose as though someone had sucked all the air out of the car. I quickly changed the gears with my spare hand and loaded my pocket with bullets in the other. Lukas regained his focus and the car roared forward, the wheels screeched and scratched below us. We had been lead into an abandoned square, where a fountain filled with grey water sat in the middle.

We rushed to get out of the car and crouched behind the trunk as we waited for the black car, now approximately 30 yards in front of us, to reveal the male twins. For a while, nothing moved; no screams, no gun shots, nothing. Lukas and I exchanged a look as he continued to hold his gun fiercely beside him.
