Nehru has described the arrival of Gandhiji as a divine blessing after the pain and suffering of 1st world war.   He changed the slavery attitude of Indians and filled them with pride for self rule.   Gandhiji filled a vacuum of top level leadership in the freedom struggle.   He attracted all sections of the society and found millions of followers due to his idea of satyagraha and non-violence.
