A shot put is a metallic sphere of radius 3.5 cm .if the density of the metal is 7.8 g per cm ,find the of the shot put.

Here is your answer.

Given that, 

Radius of sphere = 3.5 cm

Density = 7.8 g/cm³

Volume =  \frac{4}{3} \times  \pi  \times (r)^{3}

             =  \frac{4}{3} \times  \frac{22}{7} (3.5)^{3}

             =  \frac{4}{3} \times 134.75

             =  179.66 cm^{3}

We know that,  mass = density × Volume
 
                                   = 7.8 × 179.66
  
                                   = 1401.34 grams

Therefore mass of shot put is 1401.34 grams.

Mass = density x volume

density = 7.8

volume = 180.

Mass = 7.8 x 180 = 1404 grams
