Answer:

1.4014 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ---> Radius of sphere = 3.5 cm

Density of the metal = 7.8 g / cm³

To find---> Mass of shotput = ?

Solution---> ATQ,

Radius of sphere = 3.5 cm

Volume of sphere = 4/3 × π r³

= 4 / 3 × 22 / 7 × ( 3.5 )³

= 4 / 3 × 22 / 7 × 3.5 × 3.5 × 3.5

= (4 × 22 × 0.5 × 3.5 × 3.5) / 3

= 539 / 3 cm³

We know that,

Mass = Density × Volume

So,

Mass of shotput = Density of metal × Volume of

shotput

= 7.8 × ( 539 / 3 )

= 2.6 × 539

= 1401.4 gm

We know that 1000 gm = 1 kg , so to change gm in to kg we have to divide by 1000.

Mass of shotput = 1401.4 / 1000 kg

= 1.4014 kg

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

r=3.5cm

v=4/3*22/7*(3.5)(3.5)(3.5)

=359.333333

=360(approx)

d=m/v

7.8=m/360

m=7.8*360

m=2808g

m=2.808kg
