Radius of shot put = 4.9 cm

Volume = 4/3 pi r^3

= 4/3 × 22/7 × 4.9 × 4.9 × 4.9

= 4 × 22 × 0.7 × 4.9 × 4.9 / 3

= 88 × 0.7 × 4.9 × 4.9 / 3

= 1479.016 / 3

Now,

Mass of shot put = Volume × density

= 7.8 × 1479.016 / 3

= 2.6 × 1479.016

= 3845.4416 g

= 3.8454416 kg

= 3.85 kg ( approx)
