Answer:

Area of the square is  64 square meter

Area of the rectangle formed is 65 square meter

Step-by-step explanation:

Let side of the square be  x meter

Side of square is decreased by 5 meter. ie l =x-3 m

Other side increased by 5 m ie b = x+5 m

Perimeter of the park is 36 m

36 = 2(l+b)\\36=2(x-3+x+5)\\2x+2 = \frac{36}{2} \\2x= 18-2\\x=\frac{16}{2} \\x= 8 m

Side of the square was 8 m

Area of the square is  8 x8 = 64 square meter

Area of the rectangle formed is

(8-3) (8+5)= 5* 13 = 65 square meter

Question is not clear. U have both areas. please comment the question

Answer:

The Area of rectangular park is 105 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The perimeter of rectangular park = 36 meters

Let The sides of square = x meters

A side of square is decrease by 3 m

So, New side = L = ( x - 3 ) meters

Again

Other side is increase by 5 m

So, other side = B =  (x + 5) meters

∵  perimeter of rectangular park = 36 meters

So, 2 ( Length + breadth ) = 36

Or, (x - 3 ) + ( x + 5 ) = \dfrac{36}{2}

Or, 2 x - 2 = 18

Or, 2 x = 18 +2

Or, 2 x = 20

∴  x = \dfrac{20}{2}

i.e x = 10

So, L = ( x - 3 ) = 10  - 3 = 7 meters

And B =  (x + 5) = 10 + 5 = 15 meters

Since , Area of rectangle = Length × breadth

So, Area of rectangular park = L × B

Or,  Area of rectangular park = 7 meters × 15 meters

∴  Area of rectangular park = 105 m²

Hence, Area of rectangular park is 105 m²  Answer
