The answer : The area is 3264 m2 and the cost of construction is Rupees 48960

Step by Step Explanation: Take into consideration only the path that is adjacent to the side of the square; then the length and width of one side of the path becomes 200m and 4m respectively. then the area becomes 800m2. Multiply that value by 4 since there are 4 sides. Now we also have to calculate the area of the remaining portion of the path; it will be a square with side 4m and so the area of that small portion will be 16m2 and now again multiply that answer by 4 since there 4 portions like that. All that gives you 3200 + 64 = 3264m2 as the area of the path. Multiply that value with 15 and that will give you the cost of construction = 3264 * 15 = 48960.
