If the triangle is isosceles than the other side will be equal too, i.e it will be 7cm

By Pythagoras theorem,

(perpendicular)^2 + (base)^2 = (Hypotenuse)^2

(7)^2 + (7)^2 = x^2

49 + 49 = x^2

x^2 = 98

x = √98

x = 7√2 cm
