Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of the ratio terms = (2 + 2 + 1) = 5

a) Amount of copper = (2/5 × 350) g = 2 × 70 = 140g

Therefore, Amount of nickel (2/5 × 350) g = 2 × 70 = 140g

Therefore, Amount of zinc (1/5 × 350) g = 1 × 70 = 70g

b) Let the total quantity be = x

2/5 × x = 3000g = x = 3000 × 5 / 2 = 7500 g

Therefore, Total quantity = 7500 g = 7.5 kg

Therefore, Amount of copper = (2/5 × 7500) g = 3000 g = 3kg

Therefore, Amount of zinc = (1/5 × 7500) g = 1500 g = 1.5kg
