Answer:

Explanation:

40 => 60 s

1 s =>40/60 = 2/3 Hz = f

T = 1/f = 3/2 = 1.5 s

Question: A simple pendulum completes 40 oscillations in a minute. Find its frequency and time period?

→Solution:

⇔Given: No. of oscillations per minute = 40

⇔To find: Frequency and Time period?

⇒Frequency = Oscillations per second

                      = ⁴⁰⁄₆₀ / s = 0.67Hz

⇒Time period = 1 ÷ Frequency

                         = 1 ÷ 0.67 = 1.5 s

Or

                         ⇒T = 1÷f

                         ⇒T = 1/40/60 = 60/40 = 6/4 = 3/2 = 1.5 s

∴Frequency = 0.67Hz

∴Time period = 1.5s
