A simple pendulum has a time period T1. The point of suspension is now moved upwards according to the relation y=kt2 (k=1 ms-2) where y is the vertical displacement. The time period becomes T2. The ratio of T1 2 : T2 2is (take g=10 ms-2)

The original time period is
T1=2π√lg
now when going up
g'=g+f=10+2=12 m/s2
so T2=2π√l/g'
so T1^2/T2^2=g'/g=12/10=6/5
