Time taken to complete 32 oscillations = 48s

Time taken to complete 1 oscillation =48/32

=1.5

Time period of a pendulum is time taken by it to complete 1 oscillation.

Hence, Time period of pendulum is 1.5seconds.

Given:

Time period of 32 oscillations = 48 s

To find:

a) Time period of the pendulum

b) frequency of the pendulum

Calculation:

Time taken to complete one oscillation = Total time taken/no of oscillations

                                                                 =  48/32

                                                                 = 1.5 sec

Time taken to complete one oscillation is 1.5 sec

=> Frequency = 1/Time period

                       = 1/1.5

                       = 0.66 Hz

Frequency of the pendulum is 0.66 Hz
