Ribonucleic acids (RNA). RNA might seem like half a DNA molecule but there are key differences, eg RNA contains ribose sugar (DNA has deoxyribose) and uracil as one of the nitrogenous bases (DNA has thymine instead of uracil)

RNA’s biggest role in our body is protein synthesis. There are different types of RNA, based on their functions, eg mRNA and tRNA. RNA is also belived to be the key compound for the earliest life on earth. This is known as the RNA world hypothesis. RNA is still used by some bacteria, viruses and viroids.

Ribonucleic acid is the single-stranded nucleic acid which plays a role in protein synthesis i.e. transcription. The three types of the same are messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). All of them has distinguished roles in protein synthesis.
