the formula used in this answer should be.
f*v/v+u . where v is velocity of sound 330m/s
u is speed of siren and f is frequency
therefor.
(500×330)÷330+50=434.21

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Frequency = 434.2 Hz

● Explanation -

# Given -

f = 500 Hz

v = 50 m/s

vs = 330 m/s

# Solution -

Frequency of sound to be heard directly from the siren is -

f' = f × v/(v+vs)

f' = 500 × 330/(330+50)

f' = 500 × 330 / 380

f' = 434.2 Hz

Hence, frequency of sound to be heard directly from the siren is 434.2 Hz.

Thanks dear. Hope this is helpful to you..
