Given :  A slice is made perpendicular to the base of a right rectangular prism as shown.

To find :  area of the resulting two-dimensional cross-section

Solution :

Resulting Cross section will Have the Size

22 cm  by  12  cm

Area of two dimensional Cross section =  22 * 12

= 264 cm²

As prism is Sliced  so this cross section  will on the face of two prism

Hence Total  cross section area = 2 * 264  =  528 cm²

area of the resulting two-dimensional cross-section  = 528 cm²
