Given that the ant climbs 3 cm and slips down 2 cm in 1 min

So, total distance covered in 1 min= 3-2
                                                       = 1 cm

Now, if it takes 1 min to climb 1 cm
Time taken to climb 2 cm= 2 *1 = 2 min

Your answer= 2 min

Given,

A small ant climbs 3cm in 1 min but slips down 2cm

To Find,

Total time taken by the ant to climb 2cm =?

Solution,

A small ant climbs 3cm in 1 min but slips down 2cm which means,

In 1 minute, Ant climbs = 3 - 2

In 1 minute, Ant climbs = 1 cm

Time taken by the ant to climb 1 cm = 1 minute

Time taken by the ant to climb 2 cm = 1 * 2

Time taken by the ant to climb 2 cm = 2 cm.
