A small conducting sphere is hanged by an insulating thread between the plates of parallel capacitor.

we know, A parallel plate capacitor means , two parallel plates separated a small distance and charge on each containing equal in magnitude but opposite in directions.

we know, if we assume charge on first plate is q then charge on other plate will be -q.

so, charge induced due to first plate on sphere is q_i=-q_0 [ let]

and charge induced due to 2nd plate on sphere is q'_i=+q_0

[ because magnitude of charge on plate capacitor is same so, induced charge will be same in magnitude ]

so, net induced charge on sphere = 0

force on sphere = charge induced on sphere × electric field

= 0 × electric field

= 0

hence, net force on sphere is 0
