Concept

An electrical device known as an electric motor transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy

Given

  • Electric Force = 2N
  • Height = 80cm
  • Time= 4Sec
  • Efficiency=20%

Find

We need to find Electric Power

Solution

We know that Energy =Mgh

Power = Energy / Time

Let us calculate the energy first ,

Energy = 2*0.8*10

Energy= 2*8

Therefore ,

Energy = 16 J

Now Let us calculate the Power

Therefore,

Power = 16/4

Therefore

Power = 4J/s

Now let us calculate the output

Enery / Power * Efficiency

= 16/4*20%

=0.8W

Hence the electrical power supplied to the motor is 0.8W
