A small introduction to atoms and molecules...
Answers
Answer:
Introduction to atoms:
Atom is the smallest unit of matter. It consists of a positively charged center termed as “nucleus”. Also, negatively charged electrons surround the central nucleus. Even though an atom is the smallest unit of matter it retains all the chemical properties of an element.
Introduction to molecules:
Molecules are made up of one or more atoms. If they contain more than one atom, the atoms can be the same (an oxygen molecule has two oxygen atoms) or different (a water molecule has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom). Biological molecules, such as proteins and DNA, can be made up of many thousands of atoms.
An atom is defined as a basic unit of matter that contains a centralized dense nucleus surrounded by an electron cloud. When two or more atoms are held together by a chemical covalent bond, this new entity is known as a molecule.

Answer:
hey! An atom is the defining structure of an element, which cannot be broken by any chemical means. a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction is a molecule.
