A small lake was present at one end of a forest. Over the years, the lake dried up. What effect would this have had on the habitat and diversity of the forest?

1. The amphibians from the lake would start living on dry land

2. Absence of the lake would slowly turn the forest habitat barren

3. Terrestrial plants and animals would inhabit the land where the lake was

4. Only small terrestrial mammals would occupy the marshland left by the lake

gautamchetna811: see riddhi this means that as time passes by like say after 10--15 years small lakes in the forest's start drying up as the rain may be less or not very frequent and even excessive water use may have resulted in this that is drying up of lake
