Given:-

  • Objective Focal length ,fo = 100 cm

  • Focal length of eyepiece ,fe = 4 cm

To Find:-

  • Magnification ,m

Solution:-

We have to calculate the Magnification of the telescope .

Using Formula

m = fo/fe

where,

fo denotes objective focal length

fe denotes focal length of eyepiece

m is the Magnification of telescope

Substitute the value we get

→ m = 100/4

→ m = 25 cm

Therefore,the magnification of the telescope is 25 cm.

Hence, the required option is (B) 25 cm.
