A small sphere of mass 200 gm is attached to an inextensible string of length 130 cm whose upper end
is fixed to the ceiling. The sphere is made to describe a horizontal circle of radius 50 cm. Calculate the
time period of this conical pendulum and the tension in the string.

Answer:

2.26 s

Explanation:

This is how you will do it.

T = mg cos@ , where @ is angle between vertical line & tilted thread .

Also, the length of the thread - height achieved by ball will be √(130^2 - 50^2) = 120

So, T = 2πr/v

Please post answer always for verification.

PLEASE MARK IT AS BRAINLIEST IF IT IS RIGHT

Centripetal force will be m(v^2)/r which will be equal to Tcosθ
