The small test charge will travel along the line of forces if only the lines are in straight line.

Initial velocity (test charge) = 0

It means it will travel along the field line passing through that point.

Or you can say it will accelerate in the direction of the filed line passing through that point.

Test charge

It is a infinitesimally (very - very small) charge that experience an electrostatic force in the electric field of a source charge. Also known as detector.
