A snail is at the bottom of a 20 meters deep pit. Every day the snail climbs 5 meters upwards, but at night it slides 4 metres back downwards how many days does it take before the snail reaches the top of the pit.?
Plz answer fast....i will mark brainlist....​

GIVEN :

A snail is at the bottom of a 20 meters deep pit

Every day the snail climbs 5 meters upwards, but at night it slides 4 metres back downwards

TO FIND :

In how many days does the snail will reach the top of the pit

SOLUTION :

The snail is at the bottom of a 20 meters deep pit

One day it will climbs 5 meters upwards and night it will slides 4 meters back

After sliding 4 meters backwards it will remains at 1 meter forward from its initial place

Therefore, the distance can be reached by snail in 1 day = 1 meter

Since the depth of pit is 20 meters

To reach top of the pit The Snail need to move 20 meters

It took 1 day to reach 1 meter

⇒ The number of days to reach 20 meters = \frac{1}{1} (20) = 20 days

The number of days to reach top of pit = 20 days
