The time taken is 8 hours.

Given:

Distance covered in 2 hrs=5m

To find:

The time that is taken to cover 20 m

Solution:

We can obtain the snail's speed and calculate the required time.

The speed of the snail=DIstnace covered by the snail/Time taken

Distance=5m=0.005 km

Time taken=2 hours

Using values,

=0.005/2

=0.0025 km/hr

Now, the distance covered has increased to 20m.

So, distance=20m=0.02 km

Let the time taken by the snail be T.

Since the speed is same, T=distance/speed

=0.02/0.0025

=8 hours

Therefore, the time taken is 8 hours.
