Solution:

Dimensions of soap box(Cuboid shaped)=>

Length(L) = 10 cm

Breadth(B) =  6 cm

Height(H) = 4 cm

Volume of soap box = L * B * H = 10 * 6 * 4 = 240 cm³

Dimensions of cardboard box(Cuboid shaped)=>

Length(l) = 12 cm

Breadth(b) = 10 cm

Height(h)  = 12 cm

Volume of cardboard box = l * b * h = 12 * 10 * 12 = 1440 cm³

Number of soap box which can be placed in cardboard box =>

Volume of cardboard box / Volume of soap box

1440 / 240

6

The number of soap boxes which can be placed in a cardboard box is 6
