A soft drink is available in two types of packs - a tin can with a rectangular base 8cm × 6cm and height 12cm and another cylindrical can with a circular base of radius 3.5cm and height 15cm. Which container should Neelima buy if both are available for the same price.​

(i). Given, Length=5cm,

Width=4cm,

Height =15cm

V=l×b×h

=5×4×15=300cm3

(ii). Given, Diameter =7cm,

Height=10cm,

π=27

Volume =πr2h

=722×27×27

=77×5=385cm3

Difference =385cm3−300cm3=85cm3.

Hence, Cylinder container has greater capacity by 85 cubic cm.
