A soft drink tin has a rectangular base of length 16 cm, width 9cm and height 17.5 cm. Another is cylindrical with diameter of its base 12 cm and height 17.5 cm. Which has more capacity and by how much?

=(i). Given, Length=5cm,

=Width=4cm,

=Height =15cm

=V=l×b×h

=5×4×15

=300cm3

=(ii). Given, Diameter =7cm,

=Height=10cm,

=π=27

=Volume =πr2h

=722×27×27

=77×5

=385cm3

=Difference =385cm3−300cm3

=85cm3.

= Cylinder container has greater capacity by 85 cubic cm.
