A sold a wrist watch to B at 20% profit. If B further sold it to C at 5% profit. If C paid Rs. 441 for it. What was the cost of the watch.

let the cp for A be 100
then cp for B = 100+ 20% of 100=120
cp for C =120+5% of 120=126
if C pays ₹441 then it must be equal to
126=441
1=441/126
100=(441×100)/126=350
thus cp for A = 350
