The maximum possible radius of the anion B– is  483.1 pm.

Explanation:

Sodium chloride has FCC lattice and limiting radius ratio in the range of  0.414 - 0.732.

Radius ration = r⁺/ r⁻

We have to solve for the maximum possible radius of anion thus we will take minimum ratio which is 0.414,

We will rearrange the formula,

r⁻ = r⁺ / Radius ration

Radius ration = 0.414

r⁺ = 200 pm

r⁻ = ?

r⁻ = 200 pm  / 0.414

r⁻ = 483.1 pm
