The density is 2.99 g/cm³.

Given - Mass and radius

Find - Density

Solution - We will be calculating density using the formula -

Density = mass÷volume

Now, firstly we need to find the volume of solid ball, to subsequently calculate the density.

Volume of solid ball = 4/3πr³

Keep the value of radius to find the volume of solid ball

Taking the value of π as 3.14

Volume of solid ball = 4/3×3.14×2³

Performing multiplication and division to find the volume

Volume = 33.49 cm³

Now, keep the value of mass and volume to calculate density

Density = 100÷33.49

Performing division

Density = 2.99 g/cm³

The density of solid ball is 2.99 g/cm³.

The value of density is 2.98 g/cm³.

Given:

mass, m = 100 g

radius, r = 2 cm

To Find:

The value of density.

Solution:

We are required to find the value of density.

We know the formula of density is given as

Density = mass /volume   ------(1)

where mass, m = 100 g

radius, r = 2 cm

The volume of the solid ball = (4/3)πr³   ----(2)

On substituting the value of r in equation(2)

Volume, v = (4/3)×3.14×2³

v= 1.33×3.14×8

v = 33.49 cm³

Substitute mass and volume in the equation(1)

Density, D = 100/33.49

D = 2.98 g/cm³

Therefore, The value of density is 2.98 g/cm³.
