a solid cube is cut into 2 cuboids of equal volumes , find the ratio of the TSA of given cube and that of one of the cuboid .

let solid cube has dimension "a" so volume of cube is (a^3) as the cube us cut into two cuboids so the cuboid will have dimensions a×a×(a/2) TSA of cube is 6(a^2) and that of cuboid becomes 2{(a×a) + (a×(a/2)) + (a×(a/2))} which becomes 4(a^2) so ratio of TSA of cube to that of cuboid becomes 6(a^2) : 4(a^2) which simplifies to 3 : 2
