no. of smaller cubes=vol. of bigger cube/vol. of each smaller cube.
=( 14×14×14)cubic cm/2×2×2 cubic cm =7×7×7 =343

The number of smaller cubes are 343.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

side of bigger cube = 14 cm

side of smaller cube = 2 cm

We have to find out the number of smaller cubes.

For this we will calculate the volume of each cube.

Volume of bigger cube = side^3=14^3=2744\ cm^3

Volume of smaller cube = 2^3=8\ cm^3

The number of cubes can be calculated by dividing volume of bigger cube by volume of smaller cube.

\textrm{Number of cubes}=\frac{volume\ of\ bigger\ cube}{volume\ of\ smaller\ cube}

\textrm{Number of cubes}=\frac{2744}{8}=343

Hence The number of smaller cubes are 343.
