333.8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Data given:

sides of the cude (a) = 2.2 cm

radius of the cylinder (r) = 1mm = 0.1 cm

To find:

height of the cylinder (h) = ?

Concept:

Volume remains constant ( During recasting the volume of the two solid is same)

Formula used:

volume of a cube with side(edge) "a" =

 {a}^{3}

volume of a cylinder with radius "r" and " h" =

\pi \times {r}^{2}  \times h

Calculation:

As the volume of both the solid is equal.

We have:

 {a}^{3}  = pi \times  {r}^{2}  \times h

from this "h" =

( {a}^{3} ) \div (pi  \times {r}^{2} )

putting the values:

( {2.2}^{3} ) \div (pi \times  {0.1}^{2} )

we got:

h = 333.8cm
