Side (a) of cube = 12 cm
Volume of cube = (a)3 = (12 cm)3 = 1728 cm3
Let the side of the smaller cube be a1.
Volume of 1 smaller cube
Volume of cube = (a)3 = (12 cm)3 = 1728 cm3
Let the side of the smaller cube be a1.
Volume of 1 smaller cube

according to question.
side of the original cube = 12 cm
then it's volume is going to be. 12^3
=1728 cm^3
then it is cut in 8 equal parts,
then the volume of a smaller cube = 1728/8
=216 cm^3
then the side of new cube
= ^3√216
= 6 cm
if the edge is doubled
volume will be
(edge×2)^3
=edge × 8 cm^3
