A solid cube of side 30 cm is melted to form smaller cubes of side 5 cm . Find the no. of smaller cube form . Also , Find The ratio between the surface area of the bigger cube to that of smaller cube

Let side of bigger cube, A = 30cm

Let side of smaller cube, a = 5cm

No.of small cubes = vol of big cube/vol of small cube

= A³/a³

= 30³/5³

= 216 cubes

surface area of big cube/surface area of smaller cube

= 6A²/6a²

= 5400/150 = 36/1

ratio = 36 : 1
