♠ Given,

Rate of cost of the wood = Rs. 500/m³

Total cost of the block = 256 Rs.

♠ So, the volume of the block,

\sf{= \frac{total \: cost}{rate \: of \: cost}}

\sf{= \frac{256}{500}}

\sf{= 0.512\: {m}^{3}}

♠ But, volume of a cube = a³, where a is the side.

\sf{=⟩ {a}^{3} = 0.512}

\sf{=⟩ a = \sqrt[3]{0.512}}

\sf{=⟩ a = 0.8}

♥♥♥ •°• The volume of the block is 0.512 m³ and its side is 0.8 m. ♥♥♥
