Weight of the solid then is ,volume of water displaced(4v/5)* sp gravity of water1* gravitational accln.g.= 4v*1*g/5 unit

This weight of the new liquid will have volume of 4v*1*g/5*1.6g = 0.5v

So the solid will have 1/2 of its volume above the liquid
