corners of a cubic lattice ‘O’ atoms at the centre of edges
and Na atoms at the centre of the cube. The formula for the
compound is

1. 'W' atoms are at eight corners of the cube. Each corner atom contributes one eight to the unit cell. The contribution of 'W' is =1/8×8

=1

2. 'O' atoms are at the centre of 12 edges and each edges contributes one fourth to the unit cell. The contribution of 'O' atoms is =1/4×12

=3

3. 'NA' atoms are present at the centre of the cube and body atoms contributes one to the unit cell, the contribution of 'NA' atoms are 1

4. The final formlua is NAWO3
