Radius of the hemisphere =18cm
Radius of the cylinder =3cm
Height of the cylinder =9cm

No:of cylinders = volume of hemisphere/volume of cylinder

Volume of hemisphere=volume of cylinder

Volumes of hemisphere
= 2/3 πr3
=2/3 πx18x18x18
=2 πx6x18x18
=3888 π cm3

Volume of cylinder
= πr2h
= πx3x3x9
=81 π cm3

Therefore, volume of hemisphere/volume of cylinder
=3888/81
=48 cylinders

Answer:

48 Cylinders

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Radius of Hemisphere is 18 cm
  • Radius of cylinder is 3 cm
  • Height of Cylinder is 9 cm

To Find:

  • Number of cylinders formed after melting hemisphere.

Solution: We have to find volume of Hemisphere and Cylinder

Volume of Hemisphere = 2/3πr³

\small\implies{\sf } 2/3 x π x 18³

\small\implies{\sf } 2/3 x π x 5832

\small\implies{\sf } 2 x π x 1914

\small\implies{\sf } 3888π

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

\small\implies{\sf } π x (3)² x 9

\small\implies{\sf } π x 9 x 9

\small\implies{\sf } 81π

Volume of Cylinder will be equal to the volume of Hemisphere because hemisphere is melted to form cylinders

\small\implies{\sf } 3888π = 81π

\small\implies{\sf } 3888π/81π

\small\implies{\sf } 48

Hence, 48 cylinders will be formed .
